Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American chef television personality and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has worked and studied at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. While growing up in New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her passion for working in the restaurant business by enrolment in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduating of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater appreciation of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy that has informed her cooking style. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to enhance living conditions for kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about children's diabetes. She talks about her culinary love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world as she frequently travels throughout the US in various roles such as speakers and mentors. Anne has always been grateful she was able to share her passion of and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
