Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and at festivals in Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine, whose given name has been given as Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta, she originates out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing piano in the church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music within the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan and was later remixed by numerous producers and is an essential part of her live sets. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by all of the country during four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
